3 week "mini" December session 

• The December session will run for 3 weeks (beginning the week of December 1)
• Morning classes will be 7:45am – 8:45am (students will be dismissed to classrooms)
• Afternoon classes will be 3:40pm-4:40pm (students will be picked up outside the gym doors)
• Registration will be available on the Burr PTA website from Monday, November 17 (9:00am) through Friday, November 21 (5:00pm), and you will receive an email confirmation if you successfully enrolled
• There will not be refunds offered for missed classes due to student illness or other absence
• You must be a member of the Burr PTA to register for After the Bell
• Please remember to update Dismissal Manager on the days your child will be attending After the Bell

LEGO BUILDERS WORKSHOP with Mrs. Salemme

KICKBALL CLUB with Miss Sherwood

An after-school club for grades 1–5! Each session starts with Spiderball as a fun warm-up, then students play a friendly kickball scrimmage. Kids will run, kick, and score while building teamwork, sportsmanship, and staying active. No experience needed. Just bring energy and enthusiasm!

 

COOL CRAFTS ORNAMENTS! GLASS, GEMS and GLOW, OH MY! with Miss Kurimai

Grades 2 - 5

Calling all crafty holiday lovers! In this three week course, we will be creating some fantastic holiday ornaments that are sure to add beauty to home during the holidays. Students will work with many different materials such as glass and glow gems to create beautiful ornaments for children celebrating Christmas, Hanukkah, or those who want to add some winter flair to their home. Join us for this creative, and “cool” session!

 

HOLIDAY GUIDED DRAWING with Mrs. MacKenzie

Grades K - 5

Artists will follow festive guided drawings to create their very own holiday masterpieces. Featured guided drawings will include choices such as the Grinch, an elf, reindeer, gingerbread, and more. Artists will finish by adding vibrant watercolors to their creations. All art abilities are welcome!

 

HOLIDAY UKULELE with Miss Swenson

Calling all returners and newcomers! Join Miss Swenson in this three week course playing and singing the holiday's favorite songs on the ukulele! We will end with a sing along concert, and students who join will be featured in our whole school Sing- along!

SNOW GLOBE MAKING with Miss Sherwood

Over three weeks, students will design and create three unique snow globes using mason jars, water, glitter, and fun trinkets to make each one special. They can enjoy their creations all snowy season long or give them as heartfelt gifts. To finish, we’ll wrap  them to take home and share!

 

HOLIDAY GIFT MAKING IN THE ART STUDIO with Miss Bourgeois

Students have a variety of materials to choose from and can design a beautiful gift for the holidays. Materials include clay, textiles, markers, paint etc.

KIDS BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP with Miss Caruso

Get ready to bake in the teachers lounge!! It's time for us to mix ingredients, bake, learn about baking supplies, decorate and...EAT! While students wait for their item to bake, they can make and enjoy yummy treats like the famous rainbow popcorn!! Bakers will make a variety of sweet treats ranging from funfetti cookies, brownies, cupcakes, and more! (new every week). Once they're done, they will submit it to the ‘judge’!! Students will compete to use all their creative juices to win the trophy of the day…and eat their final product!

 

HOLIDAY HARMONY CLUB with Miss Swenson

Join us for a joyful musical experience this season! In the Holiday Harmony Club, students will come together to learn festive holiday songs and popular hits from the 1940s and 1950s. Over the course of three weeks, we’ll explore classic tunes, practice singing in harmony, and build confidence while spreading holiday cheer. Our session will culminate in a special performance at a local assisted living home, where students will share their voices and bring smiles to the residents through the power of music and kindness.

 

DODGEBALL with Miss Sherwood

HOLIDAY BUCKET DRUMMING with Miss Swenson

Learn awesome holiday beats on the bucket drum! Decorate your own bucket drum & get to bring it home at the end! We will learn the basics and rock out to all types of music from Rock n Roll to the holiday classics. Performance in our Holiday Sing- Along, bucket drum & sticks included.
