- Registration window: Monday, 9/14 at 9am to Tuesday, 9/22 at 5pm

- Must be a PTA member to participate

- No refunds for missed classes due to illness, vacation, etc.

- Morning classes begin at 7:45am, drop off at main entrance, students will be dismissed directly to classrooms at 8:45am

- Afternoon classes dismiss promptly at 4:40pm, pick up outside the gym doors

- Scholarship opportunities may be available, please reach out to Mrs. Firmender

The "Paw it Forward" Project with Mrs. Firmender

Let's start the week off right! The members of the "Paw it Forward" project will create something each Monday morning that shows appreciation for our whole Burr community to enjoy all week long. Activities include: chalk the walk, kindness cart, notes of appreciation, kindness board, and more!

Cool Crafts! “Quill”-o-ween Spooky GLOW Shadowboxes with Miss Kurimai

Grades 2 - 5

What is quilling anyway? Quilling is the art of rolled, shaped, and glued paper that results in creating a unified, decorative design and has been around for centuries. Whether you took a previous quilling class or not, you will love this Halloween edition. We will be creating spooky shadowboxes filled with amazing quilled Halloween images such as a haunted house, bats, pumpkins, ghosts, to name a few. Students will use many different tools to create this shaped effect, including an electric quilling tool. These shadowboxes will then be illuminated to add spooky flair to your home for the Halloween season!

 

 

Dodgeball with Miss Sherwood

Get ready for nonstop action! Students will play exciting rounds of dodgeball along with fast-paced dipping and diving games that build agility, teamwork, and sportsmanship—all while having a blast after school. All abilities welcome!!

 

 

Candy Lab Science with Mrs. Birtwell

Get ready for a sweet after school adventure! In Candy Lab Science, students will explore STEM concepts using one of the best things - CANDY! Each week, students will participate in hands-on experiments, challenges, and creative projects that turn candy into a tool. We will build, predict, measure, sort, graph, test, and problem solve while discovering how science and math are all around us!

"Sew" Spooky! Haunted House Pillows with Miss Kurimai

Grades 2 - 5

For those students who've enjoyed previous Sew Awesome classes, or for those who are new to sewing, join us for an exciting Halloween edition! In this course we will use fabric, felt, sequins, beads, buttons and sew-on rhinestones to embroider and “bedazzle”  haunted house pillows that you will be able to enjoy for years to come. You will also make a pin cushion and receive a beading and jewel kit, so you can embroider and bedazzle at home once our class is finished. Join us for this exciting, creative class. It’s going to be “SEW” Spooktacular!

Board Game Design with Mrs. Forbes

In Board Game Club, kids get to explore the world of games while creating their very own! They’ll design game boards, invent rules, develop characters and challenges, and test their ideas with friends. Along the way, students will build creativity, problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills. Most importantly, they’ll have fun bringing their unique game ideas to life!
