Registration will be open Monday, April 8 at 9:00am until Friday, April 12 at 5:00pm

  • You will receive an email confirmation if you successfully enrolled
  • Morning classes will be 7:40am - 8:40am (students will be dismissed to classrooms)
  • Afternoon classes will be 3:40pm - 4:40pm (students should be picked up outside the gym doors PROMPTLY at 4:40pm)
  • Spots are limited and some classes will fill up quickly, so don't delay in registering
  • Please remember to update dismissal manager each day your child will be attending After the Bell
  • Reminder: for insurance purposes, in order to participate in After the Bell you must have an active PTA membership.
  • REFUND POLICY: Refunds will not be offered for missed classes due to student illness or other absence. The website charges us a 3% credit card processing fee on each transaction - if you request to cancel your registration for the entire session, your refund will be minus the 3% fee.

  • Breakfast Club with Mrs. Birtwell  (Grades K-5)  $200

Welcome to Breakfast Club - the best way to start your morning! Join Mrs. Birtwell for breakfast (donuts provided!) and free choice! Studies show students learn more throughout the day when they can start their day off gradually and with personal choice. Students will be able to start their week off purposefully and peacefully by using magnatiles, free draw, reading, and so much more!

 

Monday Afternoons (3:40pm - 4:40pm): 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20, 6/3 *no class 5/27

 

  • Busy Bee Baking with Ms. Caruso  (Grades K-5)  $280

Students will be engaging in student/school friendly baking, making a variety of sweet treats, learning about baking supplies, materials and more! Students will work together in partnerships of 2-3 (depending on class size) to prepare, stir/create/combine ingredients, bake, decorate and...eat!

  • Taylor Swift Club with Mrs. Birtwell  (Grades K-5)  $230

Calling all Swifties!! Taylor Swift Club is back and better than ever! In this session, students will make custom Burr Elementary Taylor Swift Club t-shirts, bejeweled sunglasses, create their own music video, and so much more!! Together we will celebrate Taylor’s enchanting world, fostering a love for music and inspiring young minds to shine brightly!

  • Super Spring Sports with Ms. Sherwood  (Grades K-5)  $220

Welcome to the K-5 Super Spring Sports After-School Class, where young athletes embark on an exhilarating journey of sportsmanship, skill-building, and sheer fun! Games include Spider Ball, Kickball, WATER BALLOON day, Wiffle Ball, obstacle course day, Tug-o-War, Flag Football and much more! Depending on enrollment, students will be split into separate appropriate grade level sections (lower grades/upper grades). As each class concludes, energized students leave with smiles on their faces, eager to return for more thrilling adventures in the world of spring sports.

  • Beginner Ukulele with Ms. Swenson  (Grades 2-5)  $175

Join Miss Swenson as we learn the ukulele! We will learn important chord patterns, strumming and play through some popular music as we learn this new instrument. Ukulele not included. Available for students who also need a refresher.

  • Acting Academy with Mrs. Lewis  (Grades 3 -5)  $190

Join Ms. Lewis, a professional actress who studied with the Moscow Art Theatre at Harvard, in honing your acting skills. In this class we will learn how actors warm up their bodies to get ready for a performance. We will focus on physicality and voice work as we prepare monologues and scenes. Each student will leave the class with a monologue they can take to auditions.

  • Swiftie Star Factory with Ms. Duffy  (Grades K-5)  $185

Calling all Taylor Swift fans! Get ready for the ultimate sing a long karaoke and dance party, featuring all of Taylor's biggest hits. Grab the mic and show off your vocal skills , or hit the dance floor and bust out your best Taylor Swift-inspired moves. We will have fun props like LED lights and glow accessories, as well as Taylor inspired favors to take home. Whether you're a die-hard Swiftie or just love singing and dancing with your friends, get ready for serious FUN!

 

Wednesday Mornings (7:40am - 8:40am): 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29

 

  • Music in the Morning with Ms. Swenson  (Grades K-5)  $175

Join Miss Swenson as you play through different boomwhackers arrangements, learn to play and incorporate percussion, and even play pop tunes on our xylophones! This course will allow students to explore the different instruments the music room provides and learn how to play them all together! (Grades 3-5 can also use recorder)

 

Wednesday Afternoons (3:40pm - 4:40pm): 4/24, 5/1, 5/8, 5/15, 5/22, 5/29

 

  • Bucket Drumming with Mrs. D'Angelo  (Grades 3-5)  $165

Get your drum on with Mrs D ! We will play all of your favorites and rock out! Buckets and sticks provided.

  • Juggling and Mindfulness Workshop with Mr. Zankel  (Grades 3-5)  $220

Learn the art of juggling along with mindfulness strategies. Juggling helps improve eye/hand coordination and leads to hours of fun! Course fee includes juggling supplies.

  • Drama Games with Ms. Duffy  (Grades 3-5)  $165

Join Ms. Jen for some fun group games designed to unlock your imagination, boost your confidence and let your creativity shine! Dramatic play has been proven to help children develop social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills.

  • Dodging and Fleeing Fun with Ms. Sherwood / Mrs. Keneally  (Grades 2-5)  $210

Dodgeball is BACK this spring for some dodging fun with Ms. Sherwood and Mrs. Kineally! Get your heart rate up and fitness in with some of the classic dodging and fleeing games! Activities will include dodgeball and many variations of it and tag games that will keep you moving. Increase your agility and overall cardiovascular endurance as you are engaged in the games of non-stop movement. Sign up while spots are still available! Limited number of spots are open due to safety.

  • Intermediate Ukulele (returning students) with Ms. Swenson  (Grades 2-5) $175

Join Miss Swenson as we learn strumming patterns, new chord patterns, and even attempt to write our own music. Returning students will get the chance to make music on the ukulele with others who enjoy it, just as they do.

  • Cool Crafts Quilling 2! Jewelry and Cute Creations with Ms. Kurimai  (Grades 2-5)  $250

What is quilling anyway? Quilling is the art of rolled, shaped, and glued paper that results in creating a unified, decorative design and has been around for centuries. Whether you took a previous quilling class or not, in this six week long class, we will enjoy more quilling. We will be creating “cool” designs such as quilled jewelry, a glowing initial project, an underwater creature aquarium and more, all using this amazing technique. Students will use many different tools to create this shaped effect. At the end of the class, all students will be taking home their own quilling kit for continued creative fun at home! Join us for this “cool” or should I say, “quill” time!

  • Bluey Games with Mrs. Lewis  (Grades K-3)  $175

Enjoy an afternoon of imagination with Ms. Lewis as we play playground games inspired by Bluey. Students are encouraged to come to school with their own game ideas to try out.

  • Pickleball with Mrs. Birtwell  (Grades K-5)  $230

Join Mrs. Birtwell for Pickleball Club! Pickleball Club is the perfect way for students to get energy out, a great opportunity to try a new sport, and to play with friends! Students will learn how to play pickleball, engage in drills, and play friendly matches! Don’t miss out on the party! *Note: Pickleball paddles will be provided, purchase not necessary.

  • Magic and Mindfulness Workshop with Mr. Zankel  (Grades 3-5)  $220

Welcome to the world of MAGIC! Have fun and be mesmerized while learning the art of magic & mindfulness strategies. The class fee includes a magic wand, certificate and all of the necessary magic supplies.

  • Slime Science with Mrs. Birtwell  (Grades K-5)  $230

Join Mrs. Birtwell for Slime Science where students will explore the world of chemistry through hands-on fun! We will mix and match colorful ingredients to make amazing slime concoctions - all the fun of making slime but none of the mess at home. Through this creative and educational experience, kids will learn about the science behind slime while fostering teamwork, utilizing their imagination, as well as unleashing their inner scientists. Slime Science will feature a unique and fun theme each week for our slime, one week may be glow in the dark slime and another might be galaxy slime. Slime Science is perfect for young slime enthusiasts as well as slime novices - get ready for a gooey adventure!

  • Creative Clay Creations with Ms. Sherwood  (Grades 1-5)  $225

Creative Clay Creations was a hit for the March Mini-ATB session so it back by popular demand! Kids had fun making dragons, sea creatures, jewelery, worry stones and an array of mini sculptures and art pieces using Sculpey Clay. This spring the fun continues so students can add to their collections! Through hands-on activities and guided instruction, children will explore various sculpting techniques, fostering creativity and fine motor skills. Students can choose to participate in the guided instruction or create things from their own imagination. This is a dynamic platform for self-expression and artistic growth. They will take home at least one masterpiece each week after baking and drying is complete.

  • Sew Awesome 1! Intro, Pillows and Plushies with Ms. Kurimai *** (Grades 2-5)  $275

In this*** SEVEN WEEK course (last class Thursday 6/6), your child will learn some of the basics of sewing. Some basics include sewing a secure stitch, sewing on buttons, and learning different types of hand stitches. They will also have an introduction to a sewing machine! Students will use these skills to create many projects including felt keychains, an initial door hanging project with homemade pom-poms, plushie characters and a fabric pillow project just to name a few!
